ABSTRACT

SMK Sriwijaya 2 Wangon is a private school which has three departments
of Light Vehicle Engineering, Computer Engineering and Networks, and
Accounting. In the manual registration process is to fill out a form that has been
provided by the school as well as the delivery of information fast enough. With the
number of applicants who are many, the committee will have difficulty in
processing the data as well as the provision of information because they have
come to the school to see the results of the selection, by looking at the
opportunities that a growing number of mobile phone users plan to use SMS
technology writer. Based on the background of the problem, the authors will make
the information system of registration of new students based SMS gateway with
the aim of helping the process of registration of new students as well as the
delivery of information via SMS using interviews, documentation and literature
study. System development method used by the prototype method, then the
research will produce an information system of registration of new students based
SMS Gateway will assist in the registration process as well as rapid delivery of
information.
