ABSTRACTS

Animation is a medium which is widely used in a variety of ways, one of which is used in a 2D movie. Animation movie 2D can be used as a medium of information that is most appropriate to convey something like the introduction of folklore as well as the delivery of moral messages to children and adults. Many ways or techniques to create a animation movie 2D, one of which is digital animation. But we must have a greater ability in terms of depiction by using computerized techniques thoroughly. With sufficient ability, animated movie can be produced more quickly and very interesting for children and adults. The purpose of this study was to design animated movie 2D about folklore Si Loreng as a media introduction to the folklore of the archipelago and the delivery of moral messages contained in the story of Si Loreng. Collection methods used to make this animated movie is a method of literature study and observation.
Results of this research is a 2D animation movie Si Loreng .mp4 extension and will be distributed through social media sites Youtube.
