ABSTRACT

Purwokerto is one of the city in Banyumas. There are some fasilities there. Some of the ways which can be used to find the location of public fasilities such as by asking to the society directly, using map or using Google Maps and Global Positioning System (GPS). Based on the ways above there are some advantages and disadvantages of each ways. To handle this problem the writer try to make an innovation. It is searching location by combining Augmented Reality Technology and Location Based Service. In applying Augmented Reality Technology, the writer, combining two-dimensional or three virtual objects or three-dimensional Pinside of the real environment then projecting the virtual objects in real, making android aplication entitle “Search Application of Public Facilities which cover Hotel, Hospital, Restaurant and SPBU Which utilize GPS, Google Maps, Compas, Lbs and Augmented Reality Technology. Those facilities is aimed to help societies to find the locations of public facilities. As for the method of the program. While Location Based Service has the ability of detecting the geographical position from user by using GPS and Google Maps. So, GPS and Google Maps is used to detect the geographical position from the user. This application is made for smartphone Android-based system. This application is expected to help user to look for public facilities in Purwokerto which cover Hotel, Hospital, Restaurant and SPBU.
