Abstracts

The car renting transaction in Indah Family Rental Mobil still has many problems because the transaction processes are written in a book and it is very troubled to be lost, dirty, torn or tucked. The processes of the transaction are assisted by using calculating tool (calculator), so that it needs high fidelity very much. Members who want to rent the car also get difficulty in finding the availability of the cars. Besides, the renting reports are made based on the available bills. The over limit renting processes sometimes makes the owner worried because he does not know the existence of the cars. This study aims to make the car renting information system and GPS tracking media as the media to track the location of cars of Indah Family Rental Mobil. It is expected that this system can handle the process of renting transaction, report making, and cars tracking. This study used collecting data and system development methods. The collecting data methods used were interview, observation, documentation, and literature review. Meanwhile, the system development method used was waterfall method with system designer tools, those are DFD and ERD. The software used was Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 and SQL Server 2008.
