ABSTRACT

The solar system is a collection of objects consisting of the Sun (Star), planets, natural satellites, meteors, asteroids, and comets that revolve around the Sun. The purpose of the creation of the learning media applications is as a supporting learning subjects science chapter of the solar system for class IX in SMPN 1 Patikraja. Methods of data retrieval from this thesis using 3 methods, observation interview and studies library. The method used is the Multimedia Development Live Cyrcle (MDLC).
The results of this research in the form of solar system learning application performed testing with questionnaire method. The result of the test method using a detailed questionnaire indicates this application worth supporting media used as a learning process.
