ABSTRACT

Timun mas is one of story in Indonesia that originate from central java. This story tell about a woman who haven't a child. And then the giant pity and give she a child. Then the giant give she the seed of cucumber so that she can plant the seed in the yard and will born a girl. The purpose of the research is make 2D animation movie timun mas to entertain and introduce folklore of Indonesia more in love society, feell pity. Meanwhile, the system development methods of the research use multimedia development methodology version M.Suyanto, that is waterfall method. The result of the research is 2D animation timun mas so that society especially the childrens more in love folklore Indonesia.
