ABSTRACT

At this time of technological development is growing very rapidly, especially in the field of computers, every aspect of life is inseparable from the role of computers and technology. utilization of science and technology to produce new innovations must be balanced with the ability to adapt to the technology. The selection process for prospective new students majoring in the decision-making process based on several criteria. For that we need a model and method capable of solving the problems of decision-making criteria compound. Model Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) is one of the most effective methods in the design of Decision Support Systems Department Division Computer Selection for New Student Candidate is based on students' interests and talents. Results of this study is a prototype application Selection Decision Support System Department of Computer Division at SMA Negeri 1 Kejobong-based desktop that can be used as a medium of information and help students in providing recommendations college majors. By using the simple additive weighting method (SAW). Recommendations elections department can assist students in choosing majors in college computer field.
