ABSTRACT

Baturraden SMA is one of the state educational institutions are addressed in Jl. Rempoah East Raya No. 786 Baturaden. Each year, the number of students continues to increase, then the officer takes about one month to determine placement of students, the results are less accurate because it could have been a lot of mistakes. The impact of the results obtained there are some students who ask for the selection of majors given school with the student's interest. The purpose of this research is to make the Decision Support System for Determining the Election Department at SMA Baturraden order to help officers to facilitate and speed up the selection of placement of students, reducing the mismatch majors with the interests of students, and reduce the occurrence of data loss. By using the method of data collection were interviews to teachers BK SMA Baturraden, observation, and literature study. System development method used in this study is a prototype model. Selection of a prototype model because this method uses the approach in making a program gradually and rapidly, so that the user can immediately evaluate and provide feedback to improve the application. The results of this research that has made the application of Decision Support System for Determining Majors Students in SMA Baturraden-based desktop that can be used as a medium of information and assist officers in election recommendations majors students. By using the method of weighted product (WP) processes more efficient placement of students so as to more quickly get information about majors recommendations.
