ABSTRACT

This research discusses about the condition of Information Technology in STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto especially the Academic Information System. This research aims to know what extent of STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto have implemented IT Governance. This is needed as a control system of gorvernance that not only provide an evaluation of IT Governance in STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto, but also can provide recommendations for the improvement of IT management in the future. This research focus only on the domain in COBIT, namely DS (Deliver and Support) which consist of 13 IT Process. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires, interviews, and direct observation.the third method is based on the model of COBIT 4.1. The results of the data processing will be used to look for the weaknesses found in each domain. Findings weaknesses or problems will be compared with the ideal conditions that have been set COBIT 4.1 at each level, so it can be any suitable recommendations. Overall, IT governance in STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto obtain 2.6 level (Defined), where there are 10 Detailed Control Objectives which still must be considered in the organization. The main problem encountered is the management do not understand the importance of investing in the field of information technology, risk management has not been well managed, and human resources remain lacking.
