ABSTRACT

Maggot Black Soldier Fly is a business entity that manages organic waste using black flies. This business is quite advanced and developed, but in practice there are obstacles, namely in the promotion process which is still very traditional with only word of mouth and also the media used in the form of simple name cards that are less qualified and have no appeal. Augmented reality technology has the ability to combine real objects and virtual objects in a real environment, this technology offers a new breakthrough in computer interaction with humans. This research utilizes augmented reality technology for the Android-based ARMaggot application with a minimum of 4.1 (Jellybean) and uses the name card as its medium. This application will help load various information related to processing organic waste with maggot in the form of text and video. The method used in making applications is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle method. The results of this study are the promotion of media using android-based augmented reality technology is expected to help in the promotion process as well as information and also increase the interest of customers or buyers by implementing interactive name cards.
