RINGKASAN

Kemajuan media informasi dan teknologi sudah dirasakan oleh hampir seluruh lapisan masyarakat, baik dari segi positif maupun negatife dari penggunaannya. Hal ini dikarenakan pengaksesan media informasi dan teknologi ini tergolong sangat mudah atau terjangkau untuk berbagai kalangan, baik untuk para kaula muda maupun tua dan kalangan kaya maupun menengah ke bawah. Wujud layanan STMIK Amikom Purwokerto di bidang akademik salah satunya ialah tersedianya informasi berupa berita dan pengumuman akademis untuk civitas akademik STMIK Amikom Purwokerto. Media yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan informasi tersebut saat ini ialah situs website resmi kampus. Pengaksesan sistem informasi akademik yang sudah diimplementasikan ini masih kurang fleksibel karena hanya bisa dilakukan melalui website yang memerlukan sinyal nternet yang stabil. Untuk itu perlu dirancang suatu aplikasi media informasi akademik yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan fleksibilitas dari para user untuk dapat melakukan akses dengan lebih mudah dan cepat. Maka dari itu peneliti disini ingin menciptakan SmartAmikom sebagai media informasi berita dan pengumuman kampus berbasis mobile application. Diharapkan dengan adanya aplikasi ini civitas akademika kampus bisa lebih mudah untuk mendapatkan informasi seputar kampus STMIK Amikom Purwokerto sehingga nantinya diharapkan kegiatan akademik mahasiswa tidak akan lagi terganggu oleh kurangnya informasi yang didapatkan.

ABSTRACT

The progress of information and technology media has been felt by almost all levels of society, both in terms of positivity and negativity from its use. This is because accessing information and technology media is classified as very easy or affordable for various groups, both for young and old people and the rich and the lower middle class. The form of STMIK Amikom Purwokerto services in the academic field is one of which is the availability of information in the form of news and academic announcements for the academic community of STMIK Amikom Purwokerto. The media used to convey this information is currently the official campus website. Accessing the academic information system that has been implemented is still not flexible because it can only be done through a website that requires a stable internet signal. For this reason, it is necessary to design an academic information media application that is able to meet the flexibility needs of users to be able to access more easily and quickly. Therefore, the researcher here wants to create a SmartAmikom as a news information media and campus announcement based on mobile application. It is expected that with this application the campus academics can find it easier to get information about the STMIK Amikom Purwokerto campus so that later on it is hoped that student academic activities will no longer be disturbed by the lack of information obtained.
