Game Edukasi "Petualangan Scrapy" Menggunakan Framework MDA

RINGKASAN
Perkembangan dunia game yang meningkat pesat memungkinkan pemanfaatan pengembangan game ke bidang pendidikan, hal tersebut bisa disebut juga game edukasi. Penerapan game edukasi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar sambil bermain. Pada pendidikan sekolah dasar, minat bermain siswa cenderung lebih besar daripada minat belajar, sehingga diperlukan media belajar yang dapat meningkatkan minat belajar seperti game edukasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat game edukasi “Petualangan Scrapy” menjadi media belajar alternatif untuk siswa sekolah dasar menggunakan framework MDA. Game edukasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan metode Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC). Dengan memainkan game ini memungkinkan penggunak belajar tentang materi matematika kelas 5 SD dengan lebih menyenangkan karena didukung oleh karakter “Scrapy” yang menarik, dan model permainan yang variatif. Dari hasil survey kepada 56 responden yang terdiri dari 54 siswa dan 2 guru terhadap game edukasi ini, didapatkan nilai rata-rata index sebesar 87,7 % sehingga masuk kedalam kategori sangat setuju terhadap kelayakan game edukasi “Petualangan Scrapy” untuk diterapkan sebagai media belajar alternative siswa sekolah dasar.

ABSTRACT
The rapid development of the game world allows the use of game development into the field of education, it can be called an educational game. The application of the educational game aims to increase the interest in learning and play. In elementary school education, student's interest in playing tends to be greater than interest in learning, so learning media are needed that can increase interest in learning such as educational games. The purpose of this study was to create an educational game "Petualangan Scrapy" into an alternative learning media for elementary school students using the MDA framework. This educational game was developed using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method. Playing this game allows users to learn about math material in grade 5 elementary school more fun because it is supported by interesting "Scrapy" characters, and varied game models. From the survey results to 56 respondents consisting of 54 students and 2 teachers on this educational game, the average index value was 87.7% so that it entered the strongly agreed with the feasibility of the educational game "Petualangan Scrapy" to be applied as an alternative learning media for elementary school students.
