RINGKASAN

Sistem informasi dan teknologi komputer SI/TI berkembang sangat pesat sejalandengan besarnya kebutuhan terhadap informasi. Perkembangan teknologi infomasi tidak lepas dari pesatnya perkembangan teknologi komputer, karena komputermerupakan media yang dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi manusia dalam menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan. Perubahan dan dinamika masyarakat yang semakin cepat seiring dengan perkembangan jaman dan teknologi sehingga memerlukan kualitas informasi yang akurat, cepat dan tepat. Setiap instansi perusahaan, pemerintah maupun pendidikan pasti membutuhkan suatu sistem informasi didalam menjalankan aktifitas kerjanya sehingga lebih teratur dan terarah dengan waktu yang lebih efisien. SMP Negeri 2 Wangon merupakan salah satu sekolah negeri yang telah memakai sistem informasi berupa pemakaian perangkat komputer dalam menjalankan aktifitas kerjanya, tetapi dalam penggunaanya belum secara menyeluruh, hanya memanfaatkan untuk hal-hal kecil saja, seperti dalam pembuatan surat-surat input nilai siswa dan laporan-laporan serta dalam pengolahan data yang masih menggunakan Microsoft Word dan Microsoft Excell sehingga data-datanya masih belum tersusun secara rapi yang dapat menyebabkan terlambatnya pembuatan laporan karena sulitnya mendapatkan informasi dalam waktu yang cepat. Sebagai solusi dari permasalahan diatas, maka penyajian sistem informasi sangat menunjang untuk mengurangi permasalahan tersebut. Penggunaan metode Ward and Peppard menjadi solusi yang tepat dalam melakukan analisis sistem informasi pada SMP Negeri 2 Wangon dan nantinya diharapkan bisa memperbaiki kinerja pelayanan dan penerapan sistem informasi pada sekolah tersebut. Oleh karena itu penulis tertarik untuk menganalisis sistem informasi pada sekolah tersebut dan sekaligus melakukan proses perencanaan sistem informasi yang nantinya bisa diterapkan dan diimplementasikan ke dalam proses pelayanan pada sekolah tersebut.

ABSTRACT
Information systems and computer technology IS / IT is developing very rapidly along with the large need for information. The development of information technology can not be separated from the rapid development of computer technology, because computers are media that can provide convenience for humans to complete a job. Changes and dynamics of society are increasingly fast along with the development of times and technology so that it requires quality information that is accurate, fast and precise. Every company, government and education agency definitely needs an information system in carrying out its work activities so that it is more organized and directed with a more efficient time. SMP Negeri 2 Wangon is one of the public schools that have used an information system in the form of the use of computer devices in carrying out their work activities, but their use has not been comprehensive, only utilizing for small things, such as in making student input grades and reports - Reports and data processing that still use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel so that the data is still not neatly arranged that can cause delays in making reports because of the difficulty of getting information in a fast time. As a solution to the above problems, the presentation of the information system is very supportive to reduce these problems. The use of the Ward and Peppard method is the right solution in analyzing the information system at Wangon State 2 Junior High School and later it is expected to improve the service performance and the application of information systems at the school. Therefore, the authors are interested in analyzing the information system at the school and at the same time conducting an information system planning process that can later be implemented and implemented into the service process at the school.
