Sistem Presensi Asisten Praktikum Menggunakan QR Code Berbasis Android

RINGKASAN

Menjadi asisten praktikum artinya wajib mengikuti peraturan yang berlaku bagi semua anggota, salah satunya presensi. Asisten wajib melakukan presensi yang dilakukan pada saat masuk lab praktikum pada form yang disediakan oleh bagian SDM (Sumber Daya Manusia) asisten praktikum Forum Asisten. Dengan presensi manual, form presensi kerap kali ketinggalan atau hilang. Selain itu pihak SDM forum asisten yang bertugas merekap data presensi asisten merasa kurang efektifnya sistem manual yang menyebabkan perekapan data menjadi lebih lama dan rawan kesalahan. Sehingga dibutuhkan sebuah sistem yang dapat menjawab permasalahan tersebut dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang banyak digunakan dan mudah ditemui. Berkembangnya pengguna telepon pintar atau smartphone menjadi salah satu solusi dalam menyelesaikan beberapa masalah. Dengan semakin pesatnya perkembangan fitur di smartphone, banyak hal dapat dilakukan hanya menggunakan smartphone. Perkembangan Android yang menjadi sistem operasi smartphone nomor satu, memungkinkan sebuah telepon seluler memiliki kemampuan seperti PC walaupun terbatas . QR code merupakan teknik yang mengubah data tertulis menjadi kode - kode 2 dimensi yang tercetak kedalam suatu media yang lebih ringkas. Penggabungan QR code dan kamera pada smartphone Android dapat menjadi solusi untuk permasalahan di atas. Aplikasi presensi memanfaatkan kamera pada smartphone untuk memindai qr code sebagai validasi kehadiran. Sebelum melakukan presensi terlebih dahulu mengisi jadwal kemudian masuk menu presensi dan memilih jadwal yang sudah dimasukan, selanjunya melakukan pemindaian qr code. QR code berisi kata kunci yang tersimpan pada database, jika data qr code hasil pemindaian sama dengan kata kunci pada databse maka presensi akan terekam pada database. Penggunaan sistem presensi dapat menjadi solusi pada permasalahan presensi asisten praktkum.

ABSTRACT

Being a practicum assistant means that it is compulsory to follow rules that apply to all members, one of which is presenting. Assistant is obliged to perform presences at the time of entering the lab of practicum on the form provided by the Assistant Human Resources (HR) assistant section of the Assistant Forum. With manual presences, the presence form is often missed or lost. In addition, the human resources assistant forum on duty to recap attendance data assistant feel less effective manual system that causes the recording of data becomes longer and prone to error. So it takes a system that can answer the problem by utilizing technology that is widely used and easy to find. The development of smartphone or smartphone users is one solution to solve some problems. With the rapid development of features in smartphones, many things can be done just using a smartphone. The development of Android, which became the number one smartphone operating system, allows a mobile phone to have the ability as a PC although limited. QR code is a technique that converts written data into 2 dimensional code printed into a more compact media. Merging QR code and camera on Android smartphone can be a solution to the problems. Presence apps take advantage of camera on smartphone to scan QR code as attendance validation. Before doing presensi first fill the schedule then enter the presensi menu and select the schedule that has been entered, and then scanning qr code. QR code contains the keywords stored in the database, if the data QR code scanned the same with the keyword in the databse then the presence will be recorded on the database. The use of presensi system can be a solution to the attendance problems of a practicum assistant.
