Aplikasi Mobile "Snake Box" Berbasis Android Sebagai Pengenalan Jenis-Jenis Ular di Indonesia

Abstrak
The title of this research is “The Snake Box Mobile Application Based on android as An Introduction to The types of Snakes in Indonesia The background of this research is still a lack of public knowledge about the types of snakes and protection of protected snakes. So there are still plenty of hunting snakes that make reduction in the number of snakes in the world. This research aims to develop "Snake Box" mobile application based on android as an introduction to the types of snakes in Indonesia, to help the people, especially users of android-based smartphones to obtain information about the types of snakes that exist in Indonesia. Data collection methods used to create this application were interview, observation, and literature study. The process of developing this application using methods of research and development by using stages MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) version by Luther-Sutopo which consists of six stage are concept maked application based on android, design with storyboard, material collecting pictures and support materials, assembly used Eclipse, alpha and beta testing, and distribution by google drive on link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxmyC5BuiENLUV94OVp0OVhxcUU/view?usp=docslist_api. Based on the results of alpha testing revealed all the features worked well and in accordance with its function. As for the beta test results of questionnaires from 10 respondents agreed 72.9% and 27.1% disagree. The conclusion of this research is the application of "Snake Box" based on android as an introduction to the types of snakes in Indonesia is feasible as an application that can provide information to the public in Purwokerto.
