Abstrak

Rice is a staple food in Indonesia. PB. Mekar Jaya is a business engaged in the milling paddy into rice. In determining the quality and price of rice is well in need of specialists / experts in their field. However the lack of experts in the demanding field of technology to be able to become the expert of experts. Therefore, with the advancement of today's technology expert knowledge can be implemented into a system called decision support systems. Application of decision support systems in this study were made to diagnose the quality of rice which was nice. As a decision support tool to buy rice that is good and healthy. Waterfall system development methods used are the stages of research literature studies, analysis of data processing and decision support rule design, application development, evaluation. The results of this research is a decision support system application program that is able to determine the quality and the purchase price of rice. Output systems in the of rice price and quality results that the user entered.
