Abstrak
The use of smartphones is increasing every year, because kelibihan fitu-features, applications of interest so that smaertphone liked by everyone, but information about the history of the hero and the hero's biography in the subjects of social science is still much use of the books, so that the cause dents students feel bored quick to learn. Therefore, the authors designed a and build a learning media applications hero as a medium of learning social sciences based on Android. Which the application is designed in the form of pictures, a short biography and a sound explanation. The application development methodology using SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) teridi of five phases: analysis, program code generation, testing, support or maintenance and the implementation of the planning process UML (Unified Modeling Language) and developed using android studio. Questionnaire for data collection, observation and interviews. Based on the research results, this application is needed and provide facilities to enable students to learn the biography and the history of Indonesia.
